I’ve worked with Haverfordwest Town Museum to make a series of videos for ‘Platform Rhôd Llwyfan’
Made with Haverfordwest Town Museum, the videos feature shots of the elaborate till which is housed in the museum and was the property of Sidney Davies Pugh (tobacconist and hairdresser) in High Street from the late Victorian era right through to and beyond WWI.
Old photographs show shops and shop proprietors in the town and are included by kind permission of Haverfordwest Town Museum.
I also spent the day photographing shop fronts in Haverfordwest town centre on 8 October 2016 – thank you to the shop proprietors and shoppers of the town.
The retail aspects of any town are visible markers of its fortunes and although there are a number of empty shops in Haverfordwest, there are also a raft of independent shops, big retail brands and charity shops at its heart. You can see my slideshow snapshot of the current retail landscape of Haverfordwest in the museum from 27 – 29 October 2016.
